How is the air navigation charge calculated?
The Air Navigation Charge is calculated using the Maximum takeoff weight (MTOW), the unit rate (T) and the distance (D) flown by an Aircraft within the Roberts FIR using the undermentioned formula:
Formula: R=T x P X D
Where:
R = The Route charges in United States Dollars (USD)
T = Unit Rate
P = Weight Factor calculated as: (MTOW/50) ½
D = Distance Factor Calculated as: distance (KM)/100
R = Charge Per Aircraft = (Unit Rate) X (Weight Factor) X (Distance Factor)

Aircraft below 6 tons are charged a flat rate of $100 USD per movement, regardless of distance covered within the Roberts Flight Information Region.

Weight Category               -               Rate in United States Dollars (USD)
Below 6 tons                        -               Flat rate of $100 per movement
From 6 - 80 tons                  -               $120(Unite rate) * (MTOW/50)1/2*Distance(KM)/100
From 80.01 - 150 tons        -               $110(Unite rate) *(MTOW/50)1/2*Distance(KM)/100
Above 150 tons                    -              $70(Unite rate) *(MTOW/50)1/2*Distance(KM)/100
