The Department of Administration is headed by Daniel T. Johnson, as the Deputy Secretary General for Administrative Affairs,
Daniel T. Johnson, a Liberian professional, was appointed on February 7, 2024, by H.E President Joseph Nyuma Boakai as Deputy Secretary General for Administrative Affairs, Robert Flight Information Region (Roberts FIR), a sector in which he has vast experience. He is a vibrant public and private sector specialist, a consummate professional with over 20 years of solid public sector administration experience, a strategic outlook, and proven leadership ability within the aviation industry. He has worked on a permanent professional contractual basis for various international, regional and local organizations, which include but are not limited to the following: Central Agricultural Research Institute (CARI), UNDP, LEAP Microfinance, IESC/IBEX, Ministry of Labour, GiZ, The Salvation Army, ALCC, WANEP-Liberia, PMS International, AfDB; Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Financial Intelligence Unit of Liberia, Ministry of Transport, and the Roberts Flight Information Region, where he served as Principal Administrative Manager for seven years, prior to his appointment. Mr. Johnson is conversant with Administrative and Regulatory Framework analyses, sector-wide governance & institutional assessment, and coordination with multi-stakeholders. He has good knowledge of ECOWAS and the MRU basin, AfDB, and GiZ rules and regulations; He is fluent in English and concise in writing and reporting. |

Mr. Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and management (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Liberia. He also has a master’s degree in Banking and Finance with distinction from the same University of Liberia.
In his quest to develop himself educationally, he acquired certificates and diplomas in various public sector courses, including Senior Executive Leadership & Management, Quality Management System (QMS), Project Planning, Senior Executive Post Graduate Certificate in Road Safety, Road Maintenance Management, Road Sector Reform and Financing; Road Services Procurement & Integrity and post-Graduate Diploma in Microfinance. All these professional credentials were obtained in Liberia, Ghana, Kenya, and Birmingham University in the UK. |
Activities of the Administration Department
The Department of Administration of the Roberts FIR is responsible for formulating policies and guidelines on the management of human and physical resources, oversees the administrative support operations of the Roberts FIR, personnel and provide custody and maintenance of all files and corresponding reporting systems.
The Department also provides support to the Technical Department as well as the office of the Secretary General on Administrative matters. and designs and develops training policies and guidelines and administers and evaluates training programs. Ensure that there is effective information flow and that resources are employed efficiently throughout the implementation and execution of various administrative assignments. Daily administrative support and liaison between clients and suppliers falls with the purview of the Deputy Secretary General for Administrative Affairs. |
