The Roberts FIR Air Traffic Services consists of three sub departments: Air traffic control, Search & Rescue Coordination Center and Aeronautical Information Services.
The Roberts FIR Air Traffic Control Center provides Air Traffic control service, alerting service and flight information service. The Air Traffic Control serves as the core service of the Roberts FIR, wherein our Air Traffic Controllers provide separation between two or more aircraft. |
The Roberts Search and Rescue is responsible for Search and Rescue coordination operations within the boundaries of the Roberts FIR. Straight lines are joining 0900N – 1655W, 1053N – 1505W then along the Guinea territorial border, then along the Liberian eastern border to a point where this border joins the coastline, then 0000N – 0720W then 0900N – 1655W. |
The AIS Aerodrome Unit is part of the Air Traffic Services Section of the Department of Civil Aviation. By agreement, the Central AIS Office of the Roberts FIR is responsible for the promulgation at international level the Integrated Aeronautical Information Package for the three Member States: (Guinea Conakry, Liberia and Sierra Leone
